Fundraising through Wellington Round the Bays

Kaibosh is the official charity for the Brendan Foot Supersite Round the Bays 2019 event, but other charities can still use the event for their own fundraising activities.

As the official charity, Kaibosh will automatically receive $1 from every registration and they are the only charity that is allowed to have collectors at the Finishers Festival at Kilbirnie Park (collection is not allowed on the course by anyone).

Other charities can create a team to run for their charity and raise funds through:

  • Your team runners being sponsored i.e. if I complete the half marathon, you’ll donate ‘x’ amount.
  • Your team members can set up a fundraising Give a Little page (or something similar) “support me to complete the 10km and all donations go towards xxx”
  • The more runners you have in your team, the more sponsorship/funds you’re likely to gain!

A fundraiser page is what you need if you’re fundraising in an event or on behalf of someone who already has a Givealittle page. A fundraiser page will link to the cause or organisation you’re fundraising for.

Create a team

You can create a team now through our online system.  Although registrations don’t open until 1 November you can set it up now so that it’s ready for registrations opening.   You can then promote your involvement and start encouraging people to sign up as your team members!

Click here to set it up a team.

Team tees

Wearing a customised tee-shirt promoting your involvement both in the lead up to the event while you’re training, and then on the day is a great way to promote your charity and to unite the team.

Contact Paul Latham at Direct Sport to discuss your tee-shirt (or any apparel) needs: paul@directsport.co.nz
