Entering Cigna Round the Bays as a team is a great way to get everyone together for a fun day out. Teams can be made up of a group of family, friends, workmates (whoever you like!) and from all registration categories (6.5km, Active Families, 10km, Half Marathon & Buggy Walk).

 

Creating a Team

Nominate a ‘Team Manager’ – this person will take control of managing the team registrations and receive all team communications from the event organisers.

The team manager can create the team online here.

Once the team has been created it is time to spread the word among your team members so that each can enter themselves under the team name. The team manager can view registrations and manage the team by logging in to their tiktok account here. 

 

How Team Members Enter

The team entry process is setup so that each member can register themselves under the team name. Once the team manager has created your new team online follow these steps to join the team:

  1. Visit cignaroundthebays.co.nz and click any of the register links
  2. Select the event you would like to register under
  3. In the pop up prompt select ‘Join a Team’
  4. Search for your team name
  5. Enter your individual details into the form
  6. Pay for your entry*

*If your team has been set up to pay for your registration then click ‘Complete Transaction’. Your entry will then become queued until the team manager accepts your entry by way of payment.

If any members register individually and retrospectively want to be added to the team, email roundthebays@sportwellington.org.nz to make this change.

All team members MUST be entered and paid for by 1 February.

 

5 – 15 Members

For teams of 5 – 15 people, you will receive the following…

Although Cigna Round the Bays is a fun run event, we love the competitive participants as well. To encourage a bit of friendly competition between our registered teams, every year the Round the Bays Team Cup is up for grabs. The cup is awarded to the team with the fastest average finishing time for their team’s first 5 runners in the 6.5km event. We will engrave the cup with your team name and you get to keep it until the following year’s event.
When a team is created online a question asks you to indicate your payment type – either ‘individuals must pay as they enter’ or ‘the team manager will pay later’. The ‘pay later’ option will allow members to join the team without being asked to pay. When all team members have entered the team manager can log in to their tiktok account and pay for all entries by credit card in one transaction. To help you promote your team’s entry into Cigna Round the Bays and encourage your crew to enter, we have event posters and flyers that you can distribute around your office. More than 15 Members

For teams over 15 people, including the benefits received for teams of 5-15 members, you will also receive the following…

You will have direct contact with one of our event registration staff members who will be familiar with your team and will be able to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Call (04) 380 2070 or email roundthebays@sportwellington.org.nz for registration assistance.
The team entry process is set up to allow each individual member to register themselves to the team. However, if you would like to register everyone yourself please email roundthebays@sportwellington.org.nz to ask for a bulk upload excel sheet. This is to be filled out with the team members’ details and returned to the Cigna Round the Bays team to upload to the registration system. You will then be invoiced the entry fees.

If you are a ‘pay later’ team of 15 or more members we will mail your entire teams’ event bibs and timing tags to the team manager at your office in the weeks leading up to the event.
For the past few years entries into the Cigna Round the Bays have been in high demand. To make sure you and your team know when we are close to filling our capacity we will send an email notification out to team managers, so that none of your team miss out.
